What size trampoline is best for my family?

In the video below, we talk about the types of things things you need to consider before buying your trampoline. The trampolines can turn out looking much bigger in your yard than you expected. It is recommended to measure the area that you wish the trampoline to go, this will give you a good idea of the best size to choose.

What size is best?

As a rule of thumb we say that you should buy the biggest trampoline you can fit in your backyard, and of course, what your budget can afford.

With a measuring tape, simply lay down the tape in your yard where you would like the trampoline placed. You will now be confident which size you are able to fit. You would be surprised how many trampolines we sell that are exchanged because once the trampoline is delivered and started to be installed, it's just too big and will not fit. Oops!

8ft Trampoplines

When space is limited, or the children are younger, our range of 8ft trampoline for sale is a perfect fit. But it will still comfortable handle older kids and adults.  The 8ft trampoline is the equivalent of 2.43m edge to edge. The trampoline net is on the outside of the safety pad so you gt full use of the trampoline space.

10 ft Trampolines

The 10 ft trampoline will still be perfect for a young family or small yard however has a carrying capacity of 150kg. The 10 ft trampoline is more suitable for bigger children or adults. A trampoline ladder is included with all 10ft trampolines. Size wise, the 10ft trampoline will measure 3m from edge to edge. As with all our trampolines, the net is on the outside of the safety pad to ensure you get full use of the entire trampoline matt area.

12 ft Trampolines

Our most popular range, our 12ft Trampolines for sale seems to be the right fit for most families. Requiring 3.65m from edge to edge, the 12 ft trampoline is not too big, not too small and priced well. The 12ft trampolines also have a 150kg carrying capacity and come with a trampoline ladder as standard.

14 ft Trampolines

Currently our largest size in stock, the bigger capacity is our 14ft Trampoline Range. Now getting into the "big" category, your yard will be easily filled with our 14ft trampoline as it measures 4.26m edge to edge. Included as standard is a ladder, and it accommodates a 150kg carrying capacity. Much more space for budding tricksters than the 12ft trampoline.

How much does it cost for shipping on a trampoline?

Don't fall for "flat rate shipping" or "free shipping" which you know is marked up to be included in the trampoline price.

At Premier Trampolines, we want to ensure you only pay for what you use, and you only pay the minimum amount for shipping to your specific location.

To accurately assess the shipping cost for your Trampoline, add in your post code on the product page. This field is located to the right of the product's main photo.

It will look something like this:

Shipping is free on all spare parts excluding the spring pad covers.

What is a trampoline anchor kit?

An anchor kit is used to anchor your trampoline down into the ground - working similar to a boat anchor. If you live in a high wind area, we recommend to anchor down your trampoline as they can get picked up and blown around your yard.

The kit includes two anchors. Click here to view.

How do I know what size my trampoline is?

Measuring your trampoline is simple, all you have to do is know where to measure.

A lot of people think that trampoline size is based on the size of the black jumping mat, but in fact it is based on the frame diameter.

Using a tape measure, you have to measure from outer frame, directly across in a straight line to the other side of the frame to get the diameter. Sometimes it can be easier to measure along the ground.

Converting meters to feet:

  • 2.43m - 8ft
  • 3.04m - 10ft
  • 3.65m - 12ft
  • 3.90m - 13ft
  • 4.26m - 14ft
  • 4.57m - 15ft
  • 4.87m- 16ft
How do I work out if your trampoline mat will fit my trampoline?

If you follow these simple steps, you will be able to work out if our trampoline jumping mat will fit your trampoline.

  1. 1. Measure the diameter of your trampoline. This measurement is the size mat to buy.
  2. 2. Count how many spring holes you have on your trampoline frame.
  3. 3. Measure the spring length, end to end including hook.

You must have the same spring quantity and spring length for our trampoline mat to fit your trampoline.
If you have the same spring quantity, but have longer or shorter springs, our mat will fit if you also purchase a full set of springs.
We have discounted package deals if you need to also buy the springs.
Please make sure you measure your trampoline. Just because you have 72 springs, does not necessarily mean that it is a 12ft trampoline. Many different makes of trampolines have different spring quantities and spring lengths.
