Trampoline Safety Tips
Trampolines are great fun for the whole family. However trampolines can lead to serious injury if not used correctly.
If you own a trampoline or thinking of buying one, there are some simple steps you can take to avoid injury.
TIPS FOR PARENTS OR CARERS
- Supervise children at all times whilst they are using the trampoline. Even though the Premier Trampoline has a safety enclosure, thrill seeking children can have lots of very dangerous fun hanging off the enclosure poles and netting. The safety enclosure is not designed for this use and will damage the enclosure.
- Make sure that the trampoline is placed on a safe, soft surface. We do not recommend that the trampoline be place in concrete or stone. Grass or soft fall is more appropriate. Soft fall surface should be at least 2 meters wide from the edges of the trampoline.
- Do the zipper up when the children are on the trampoline. This will aviod any accidental falls from the opening.
- Regularly inspect the trampoline for any defects or wear and tear.
RULES FOR THE KIDS
-
At all times, ONE person!
-
Jump in the middle of the jumping mat as you can.
-
Do not try somersaults or flips.
-
You will hurt yourself if you jump from the trampoline to the ground. You will surely hurt yourself if you jump from another structure onto the trampoline.
-
Never play under the trampoline whilst another person is on the trampoline using it.
-
Do not use the trampoline if there is a hole or slit in the jumping mat.
